Welcome to the ElectroKemistry! There may be the odd restaurant review along the way too when the mood takes me. I am hoping that there will be some feedback and also some guest blog spots, as I know a few of you out there are better cake bakers and brewers than I and those of you who have sourced your own excellent ingredients on travels and travails. These will of course be interspersed with my own ramblings.

This Pale Ale was originally brewed under a railway bridge on the famous Liverpool Love Lane. The biscuit malt balances the whole leaf citrus hops for a refreshing lasting taste. The malt and yeast of a wheat beer, the hop regime of an American IPA, combining the best of both for a refreshing cloudy and hoppy beer. A Black India Pale Ale, using Columbus hops, special German black malts and Maris Otter Malts to create a dangerously drinkable yet complex hoppy Black IPA.

The brewery springs from the need to have more good beer. Beer deserving of a certain attention. Beer that forces you to confront and consider what you are drinking. Upfront hops, lingering bitternesses, warming alcohols, bodies of malt. Lengths and depths of flavour. We make Pale Ales, India Pale Ales and old school London Porters and Stouts towards these ends. Bottled alive, to give them time to grow. From 5th September we will no longer serve beer to drink at the brewery.
